Sotheby’s International Realty just released its top sales from around the world in February 2013. The residence pictured at left, in Alpine, N.J., was the top sale at $13,375,000 — no surprise for those of you who know a little about Alpine. This hamlet in Bergen County is just 15 miles from midtown Manhattan, and in 2012 Forbes magazine named it “America’s Most Expensive Zip Code” with a median home sales price of $4.25 million.

An impressive Tudor-style home on 2.6 acres overlooking San Francisco Bay was the next highest sales among SIR offices, listed at $13 million. Two sales in Miami, both around $7,500,000, and a sale near Greenwich, Conn., rounded out the top five sales for this past February. See the complete list of top sales here.
