To Bid Online Through Sotheby’s Online
Bidding Platform Follow These Easy Steps:
STEP 1: FIND THE SALE YOU WISH TO BID IN
Click the “AUCTION” link in the header to browse all upcoming
auctions by date, location or department.
STEP 2: REGISTER TO BID FOR THE SALE
Click the “REGISTER TO BID” button at the top of the sale page you are interested
in; then select the “ONLINE LIVE BIDDING” option. If you do not have a SOTHEBYS.COM
user account, you will be prompted to create one. First-time bidders must pre-register
24 hours in advance of the sale in order to be approved by Sotheby’s.
STEP 3: ENTER THE ONLINE SALESROOM
The day of the sale, you may enter the online salesroom up to 20 minutes before
the start of the sale. To enter the online salesroom, go to the auction and click the
“BID NOW | WATCH LIVE” button. The Sotheby’s Bidding Platform will launch in
your browser window. You can begin bidding once the sale starts.
