Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty’s five offices in Bucks County, Philadelphia and the Main Line are operating, albeit with staff and agents working remotely, coming into the offices only as needed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Agents are carefully conducting showings on behalf of sellers and accompanying buyers as long as all parties consent to the meetings. Closings are continuing to take place with masks, hand sanitizer and gloves for those who wish to take these precautions. Donald Pearson, chairman of Kurfiss SIR, has made the health and well-being of the agents, staff and clients the #1 priority.

While people may not be interacting directly with each other, the marketing staff and agents at Kurfiss SIR are taking steps to make sure that clients’ properties are still being promoted through such online tools as virtual open houses, Matterport 3-D tours, Facebook Live sessions, posting and promoting property videos, FaceTime walkthroughs and normal posts to the Kurfiss SIR social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Email marketing and direct mail remain important marketing channels to reach agents and consumers.
Homeowners who were planning to list their properties for sale can start or continue that process. Agents can provide sellers with market analyses and guidance via email and phone. We are still photographing properties, and with spring trees and flowers about to bloom, we will be more active than ever re-shooting properties that came to market since autumn. After an extremely active winter, the inventory of homes remains low, and as many buyers know, mortgage rates are extremely low.
While we realize there are many unknowns facing our community as we navigate uncharted territory, we remain positive, hoping that a period of isolation will give all of us a short window of risk and economic uncertainty. We wish our community safety and good health.
