Donald Pearson, chairman, Kurfiss Sotheby’s International Realty, announced that four staff members have been promoted as the company steps up its selective recruiting process for its four offices in the greater Philadelphia area.

Sean Corso, long-time information-technology and finance director, is now Vice President, Finance & IT. He oversees the company’s IT infrastructure and has worked to improve the company’s information security, fortifying defenses against hackers and phishing schemes. He also runs the company’s accounts receivable/payable and serves as a controller for budget and spending. The company’s five administrative assistants report to Corso.
Valerie Patterson, with the company since 2006 as director of marketing, is now Vice President, Marketing & Sales. With many years of experience assisting agents with their print and digital marketing needs, Patterson will now consult with them more directly when they are creating marketing plans for properties or relaunching properties. She also will take on a more active role in strategically recruiting agents, particularly for the company’s Main Line and Philadelphia offices. Working in tandem with Associate Broker MaryAnne Gallagher, Patterson will help identify candidates who can elevate their sales volume and provide better services to their clients by working with the Sotheby’s International Realty brand.

MaryAnne Gallagher, a long-time associate broker in the greater Philadelphia area, is the company’s main recruiting contact. She has many years’ experience helping agents build their sales and become market leaders, and she also has been a strong asset on matters of contracts and other legal matters common to real-estate transactions. MaryAnne anticipates adding approximately five agents each to the company’s Main Line, Chestnut Hill and Rittenhouse Square offices.

Katelon Ramos is now managing director, marketing and brand strategy, for the company’s agents across four offices. She has expert knowledge of the Sotheby’s International Realty brand and all that it offers to agents and their clients. In her new role she will be oversee the print and digital campaigns and marketing materials used by the company and its 90 agents. Ramos came to Kurfiss SIR from Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty in Austin, Texas, where she worked as a brand manager for the Downtown office.
