Over the past several years, our Chairman Donald Pearson has quietly supported the rescue and rehoming of more than 85 dogs in need. From funding veterinary care to providing safe temporary housing, Donald has stepped up again and again to give these animals a second chance.
Most recently, Donald responded to a call for help involving a young dog — just 2 to 3 years old — who had spent her short life as a breeding dog on an Amish farm. After being used for litters since she was a puppy, she was no longer wanted. With the help of Michelle Armstrong, Donald covered her care and arranged for her safe transport, along with one of her pups, to what is now their forever home in Milford, New Jersey.
Thanks to this quick action, these two sweet dogs are settling into a loving home not too far from where their journey began. It’s one of many examples of how compassion, teamwork, and commitment can change lives – both human and canine.
